The Therapist
About the Therapist
Dr. Spann, PT, DPT is a physical therapist with over a decade of experience. She earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Over the course of her vast career, she has experience working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients with a variety of diagnoses and medical conditions.
Dr. Spann, PT, DPT initially became interested in physical therapy after her grandfather received rehabilitation after a stroke. The improvement in his ability to walk impressed Dr. Spann, but the therapist's ability to educate his family to enable them to care for him and improvement his quality of life is what never left her. Because of the quality therapy her grandfather received, he was able to return home with his family.
Dr. Spann, PT, DPT learned from that experience clients are people, not diagnoses or conditions. Clients have families, friends, dreams, and goals. Dr. Spann, PT, DPT aims to educate clients and caregivers to promote health and wellness. With that in mind, 365 Direct PT was created to:
- provide therapy where and when clients need it the most
- to guide clients in meeting their goals with little to no disruption to their life
- educate clients and their caregivers directly
- put clients and their families in control without restrictions dictated insurance regulations
When not working, Dr. Spann, PT, DPT enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with family.
